“If opportunity doesn’t knock, build a door.”— Milton Berle A very special program with the debut novel, Swearing Off Stars from Danielle Wong who was a valued volunteer with Be the Star You Are!® charity as a teenager. This show focuses on career building and we honor Danielle for building her career to live her dreams of becoming a published author. Danielle shares her journey¬¬–¬¬the obstacles, and inspirations. Spread across time and place, the story of love found and lost is one of desire, adventure, and ultimately, devotion. Jack Pawlakos researched and divulged trends in careers, especially the innovations in technology than have enabled people to experience working for themselves. In the final segment, hosts Brigitte Jia and Katie Choo read Danielle Wong’s chapter, The Gift of Faith, from Be the Star You Are!® for Teens and talk about the trajectory from dreaming as a youth to doing as an adult. A very exciting and inspiration broadcast that you won’t want to miss.

Hosted by teens and teenage field reporters from around the country, Express Yourself! is THE destination for teens to be heard. Within the walls of the young adult community, listeners are uplifted and encouraged to be the stars of your own life. Through collaboration and conversation, a global campus of young people express their views. Topics include anything that kids talk about-books, music, making a difference, technology, school, art, humor, writing, tough talks, health, sports, films, family, friends, foes, fashion, and fun. Broadcasting since 2011, twenty-seven young people from around the United States have regularly shared their passions and interests as hosts and reporters on Express Yourself! These teens are not afraid of the tough topics and thrill at the opportunity of interviewing a variety of guests including authors, actors, Olympians, scientists, musicians, poets, and experts of varied disciplines.
