Episode Description
Listening to sound financial advice and putting it into action can lead to a happy outcome while conversely many fail to act or fail to heed the right advice and end up broke. 'Becoming a Financial Grown Up', the title of author and journalist Bobbi Rebell's new book, uses real life examples as the starting point for lessons on what being financially grown up means and how those of us on the path can achieve it. Rebell joins host Jordan Goodman to talk about her book, why she wrote it and what she hopes readers will take away from it and put into action. Goodman and Rebell talk about the new tax plan and how everyone needs to up their financial game and become more of an independent financial expert. Rebell shares her concerns about the lack of financial education millennials and other generations face and the implications of it. Rebell recently became a certified financial planner and talks with Goodman about why she got her CFP and her concerns about 'experts' offering advice.
