There has been much discussion lately (ongoing now) about mental health issues. From skyrocketing teen suicide rates to violent psychotic episodes, school shootings, people going apparently nuts for no reason at all, it's happening in our cities, towns, and in rural areas, in poor and rich neighborhoods, schools and streets nationwide. At some point, the discussion always turns to the fact that the perpetrator of whatever atrocity just happened (and they keep happening) was "disturbed" and was "under treatment" for psychological problems. Where is all this weirdness coming from? When I asked frequent guest of the show Dr. Andrew Saul, Ph.D. if he would like to discuss mental illness on The Power of Natural Healing, he responded, "I'd be crazy not to!" Howard Straus
Mr. Howard Straus, son of Charlotte Gerson and grandson of Dr. Max Gerson, graduated from MIT with a degree in physics. He was a US naval officer during the Viet Nam war and worked for many years as a computer systems analyst. Howard was Editor-in-Chief of the Gerson Healing Newsletter for ten years and authored an award-winning biography of Dr. Gerson called Dr. Max Gerson: Healing the Hopeless, published in 2002.
Howard was the founding Director of the Gerson Healing Center in Sedona, Arizona, that provided the Gerson Therapy directly to visitors from all over the world. Howard also served on the Board of the Gerson Institute for fifteen years and initiated their Worldwide Web presence during the earliest days of the Internet.
Mr. Straus founded Gerson Health Media that publishes the guidebooks for implementing Gerson Therapy and manages the rapidly expanding library of books and booklets being released around the world. Howard appears on radio, television and Internet interviews, and regularly speaks throughout the world.
