Episode Description
At this hour: Tax abatements come in all shapes and sizes when it comes to New York City real estate. First, there is the 421a tax abatement program, which was shelved temporarily, but was brought back as the Affordable Housing New York program. This program gives tax breaks for new development. And then there is the J-51, which is a tax break for developers to renovate existing apartment buildings. The purpose for these tax incentives is to spur developers to develop on underutilized land and property to help support NYC’s need for housing. What happens when they expire? We will discuss this. Also at this Hour: If there is something New Yorkers seem to know a lot about it is loss and longing—of the real estate variety. Spend time at any dinner party and eventually you are sure to be regaled with tales of apartments bypassed now worth millions, bidding wars lost, or maybe the biggest horror of them all: a rent-controlled apartment left behind for good. Tell us about your story..

I became interested in a real estate career in the mid-1990s while buying and selling Manhattan co-ops and condos for my own personal real estate projects (renovating and selling), and found it to be an exciting industry. I decided to make Real Estate a full time profession and I've never looked back.
The ROCCO Group is dedicated to delivering quality service to our buyers and sellers. I get personally involved in every detail of the deal. I am known for my straightforward approach, my integrity and flexibility while working with people. I cultivate strong relationships that last a lifetime.
I have an extensive knowledge of Manhattan and its neighborhoods. I became an expert in New Condo Development sales over the past five years selling in three separate new development projects. I've made appearances on 'Sweat Equity' on the DIY network as one of their pricing experts, and have been featured on 'House Hunters' on HGTV and I'm working on an interactive web/blog portal where I will be hosting a weekly 'over the net' Real Estate program featuring everything New York City. I have been quoted in NY Magazine, NY Post, NY Times, QUEST, The Real Deal, and Broker's Weekly.
I live on the Upper West Side of Manhattan with my dog, Jett. I know Manhattan well and all of its neighborhood's so touring for a new home is always an exciting adventure with me. I make it personal. Your dream of finding the perfect home or selling your home will become a reality.
