The International Leadership Association (ILA) exemplifies a model for Anti-fragile. They imagine what is possible for global leaders focused on global challenges. They are an imagination-driven organization. For the 2021 annual conference, they chose Geneva, Switzerland. They leveraged Geneva being the city with the largest number of multi-lateral organizations in the world and Switzerland is ranked #1 as the most innovative economy in the world as the location to convene and create the space for leaders to grapple with the complex challenges they face. The ILA's key initiatives are: 1. Global leadership initiative 2. Power of purpose 3. Guiding standards and general leadership projects The theme for the 2021 conference was Reimagining Leadership and they were challenged to reimagine how to implement the conference in the new Covid-era. They developed the High Flex model and realized a successful hybrid conference. Cynthia Cherrey, President and CEO of the International Leadership Association, and Mike Hardy, Professor at Coventry University and Board Chair of ILA, join Maureen to share how the ILA is being a living model for reimagining leadership together.
