Martha Mertz is the author of Becoming ATHENA: Eight Principles of Enlightened Leadership and the founder of ATHENA International, a nonprofit organization that seeks to support, develop and honor women leaders, inspire them to reach their full potential and create balance in leadership worldwide. She is also a successful real estate entrepreneur as president of the firm Mayhood Mertz Investment, Inc. Martha serves as a an ambassador, traveling the globe to share the message that women bring a distinctive, transforming approach to leadership, an approach that goes beyond gender. Second Guest is Irene Stemler, RN who is an Polytrauma Clinical Nurse Educator for the VA, where she works with combat veterans returning home with Traumatic Brain Injury and PTSD. She is the author of Heroic Acts in Humble Shoes: America’s Nurses Tell Their Stories. Deanne is diverse in careers from scientist, college instructor, management trainer, Fortune 500 Manager, author to entrepreneur. She is a much sought after speaker and business coach who blends the spirit of change, life-long learning, and adaptability.
For more than 20 years Deanne has worked with managers and individuals to help break through personal and career roadblocks with her innovative strategies. She offers her abilities as a leader, certified business coach, and educator to corporations and organizations globally. Deanne demonstrates the adaptive thinking necessary for change in our present-day world.
