Episode Description

In the 21st century, too many women struggle to manage a "double shift" at work and at home, while grappling with unrealistic pressure to be, do and have it all, aka a modern-day “Wonder Woman.” Yet while women work more hours than ever – a median increase of 80% between 1979 and 2012 – too few companies provide the kind of support that women need to be successful. Even President Obama, in his 2015 State of the Union Address, called for guaranteed paid maternity leave. Executive producer and SAP CLO Jenny Dearborn says, “I look forward to hearing our panelists discuss the role of corporate – and government – policy in rebalancing the load, including job-shares, flex-time, parental leave, and more.” The experts speak. Dr. Ritu Anand, TCS: “Life shrinks or expands in proportion to one’s courage” (Anais Nin). Jennifer Anglehart, B/E Aerospace: “Accept no one's definition of your life, define yourself” (Harvey Fierstein.) Join us for The Wonder Woman Myth and The Modern Corporation.
