Therapeutic Approach to Growth offers a wide range of topics related to individuals with special needs and others that are struggling to be successful in life. We will share information that encourages growth, an increased understanding of the types of supports available, and to most importantly offer hope. We will have well-respected professionals and savvy parents who share, collaborate and express their viewpoints on what they have learned and experienced first-hand. We focus on building an individual’s sense of competence which will help them meet challenges in our dynamic world. Our show is heavily influenced by a treatment known as RDI-Relationship Development Intervention, however other professionals and specialists that we collaborate with will also be presenting their knowledge and expertise.
Brooke Wagner
Brooke Wagner, M. A. has supported individuals with special needs both locally and internationally since 2000. She holds a Bachelor of Science Degree in Psychology from Santa Clara University, a Masters Degree in Human Behavior from National University, and is an RDI(r) Program Certified Consultant. In addition, Brooke is an RDI(r) supervisor through RDIConnect in Houston, Texas. In this role, she guides and supervises RDI(r) consultants in training through their supervision requirements. She has also received extensive training and experience in developing and implementing comprehensive programs utilizing RDI(r), ABA, Floortime, PRT, PECS, How Does Your Engine Run?, Handwriting Without Tears, Social Stories, Touch Math, and TEACCH.
Brooke believes in a supportive and comprehensive approach and therefore uses a variety of methodologies based on her past experiences when providing recommendations. In addition, she finds it necessary to regularly communicate with all other specialized therapists such as speech, OT, PT, etc. Brooke values supporting the community through outreach opportunities, sharing information and resources and connecting with clients and those impacted with developmental delays on a human level. She is the owner and clinical director of a private agency, Therapeutic Approach to Growth, Inc. which offers comprehensive services to individuals with developmental and acquired disabilities both nationally and internationally.
