Kathryn interviews Professor Ingrid Blaufarb Hughes, author of “Losing Aaron”. One in every hundred Americans live with schizophrenia. Every year one in five Americans experience mental illness and 43,000 take their own lives. “Losing Aaron” is the story of the life and death of Aaron Hughes as told by his mother Ingrid Blaufarb Hughes. She describes her family’s struggle with her son’s mental illness and brings to light the complexity of a mother’s loss. Kathryn also interviews economist David M. Rothschild PhD about a recent Pollfish survey on what influenced Donald Trump supporters. Dr. Rothschild and his team at PredictWise successfully predicted the results of 45 out of 50 states, looking at key issues in Trump’s platform and how voters felt about his candidacy. He is well known for his prediction methods, having correctly predicted 50 of 51 Electoral College outcomes in February 2012, an average of 20 of 24 Oscars from 2013-6 and 15 of 15 knockout games in the '14 World Cup.

She has also recently been a co-host and featured life expert on Doug Stephan's syndicated Good Day Show. Kathryn's interviewed thousands of guests including lifestyle experts, celebrities, authors, lawyers, psychiatrists, physicians and dieticians. At Albany Medical College she has trained doctors and medical students to communicate effectively with their patients. She's an actor who can be seen on the Sopranos and Law and Order and even admits to modeling for AARP! She has Masters' Degrees in Social Work and Counseling Psychology and is a graduate of the New School of Radio and Television. Much background for her show comes from traveling the world and raising three boys now in their twenties - a rock star, an actor and a film maker. There's also one ex-husband, one boyfriend, two brothers and an aging mom!
