Distinguished professor of pathology and neurology at Long Island Univ., formerly of Albert Einstein Center in Bronx, New York. For 30 years Dr. Davies has won numerous awards for his studies of Alzheimer’s disease, and interfaces with the pharmacological industry to develop new drugs to treat dementia.Dr. Davies has developed exciting treatments for CTE, wherein he has used a model in mice to develop monoclonal antibodies to the mechanism that produces PAU-staining tangles in the brains of boxers and retired NFL football players. Extrapolating this treatment to humans will take approx. 2 years.
