Carolyn Hinsey
Carolyn Hinsey has covered daytime television for over 20 years for such publications as Soap Opera Digest, Soap Opera Weekly, and the New York Daily News. She has written a weekly humor column in Digest called "It's Only My Opinion" for 14 years, cited as the #1 reason to buy the magazine in all reader polls. Prior to that, she covered gossip, entertainment and television for the New York Daily News. She has appeared as an expert on daytime television on The View , The E! True Hollywood Story of Kelly Ripa, Politically Incorrect, ABC Eyewitness News, A&E Biography, Soap Talk, NPR Radio, and many other programs (including soaps!). Fun fact: Carolyn attended Indiana University, where she befriended Mark Cuban and invested in his bar, "Motley's Pub." Cuban went on to make $6 billion on Broadcast.com and now owns the Dallas Mavericks. Carolyn feels that investing in Cuban's bar but not his Internet company was good practice for covering soap operas.
