Dr. Justin D. Braverman
Dr. Justin D. Braverman, director of endoscopic surgery at www.TheNewProgram.com, is a pioneering expert in minimally invasive bariatric surgery. Dr. Braverman has performed more than 1,000 laparoscopic and endoscopic bariatric operations with outstanding success and one of the country’s lowest complication rates. Dr. Braverman also specializes in the highly technical field of complex laparoscopic revisions for previous bariatric surgery, and he is involved in clinical research at The N.E.W. Program. He joined N.E.W. in 2006 after moving to Southern California fromChicago. Dr. Braverman attended the University of Illinois, and earned both his master’s degree in physiology and his medical doctorate from the Chicago Medical School. During his surgery training, he was a member of the Organ Transplant Team at NorthwesternMemorial Hospital, and was a post-doctorate research fellow in organ transplantation at Northwestern. Dr. Braverman is a member of the American Society of Metabolic and Bariatric Surgery, the American Medical Association, the Society of American Gastrointestinal and Endoscopic Surgeons, and the American College of Surgeons.
