Wendy Scinta
Dr. Wendy Scinta is Board Certified in both Bariatrics and Family Medicine. She is a leading expert in the field of weight management and a frequently invited speaker on obesity and related topics. Dr. Scinta serves on the board of trustees for the American Society of Bariatric Physicians, and as a member of the White House Task Force on Childhood Obesity. She is the founder of Medical Weight Loss of New York where she works with children and adults to prevent and reverse obesity related illnesses. Dr. Scinta received her Medical Degree from Upstate Medical University and completed her residency at Duke University. She is currently Clinical Assistant Professor of Family Medicine at SUNY Upstate where she is conducting research on medically monitored weight loss programs for adults and children. Dr. Scinta has been interviewed on CNN, and appears regularly on ABC television in CNY. She has contributed numerous articles to national magazines, newspapers and online publications.
