Kristi Schmitt Burr
Kristi Schmitt Burr is co-founder and executive director of Basal Cell Carcinoma Nevus Syndrome Life Support Network and has been a member of the Board of Trustees since its inception in 2000. Kristi studied elementary education at Grinnell College and Kent State Univ. Since 1990, she has been co-owner of Nature Cure of Ohio, a natural supplements purveyor, where she continues to serve on the Board of Directors. As an affected individual & tireless advocate for patients with skin cancer, Kristi knows first hand the trials and tribulations of living with a chronic illness. Kristi has been involved with several non-profit organizations and boards relevant to her work, including: WVIZ/WCPN/Ideastream; Genetic Alliance; American Cleft Palate Craniofacial Assoc.; Coalition of Skin Disease; NORD; Commission on Dental Accreditation of the ADA; Case Western Reserve Univ. Skin Cancer Research Institute Advisory Committee; U.S. Department of Defense Peer Reviewed Cancer Research Program.
