Barry Downs
Barry Downs is a retired stockbroker who specialized in gold and mining equities with Aegis Capital Corporation, where he was a registered broker/dealer and a member of the NASD and SIPC. Mr. Downs has over 30 years of Wall Street experience, specializing in foreign securities and the monetary economics of gold. His father-in-law was the deceased John Exter, economist and central banker, who warned 34 years ago that the world was embarking a treacherous road when Nixon closed the gold window. Following in his father-in-law's footsteps, John is an avowed believer that the global economy is heading toward a deflationary depression more severe than that of the 1930s.
