Louise W. Gane
Louise W. Gane, MS, is a Genetic Associate at the University of California Davis M.I.N.D. Institute, working with the Fragile X Treatment and Research Center under the Directorship of Dr. Randi Hagerman. She has worked with more than 1500 patients with fragile X associated disorders (FXD) over 25 years. She is currently Co-PI on the fragile X Newborn Screening project under the NIH-funded University of Washington Center of Excellence. Louise works on the NIH-funded: Genotype Phenotype studies in Fragile X; DOD-funded study: A Controlled Double-Blind Cross-over Trial of Ganaxolone in Children with Fragile X Syndrome; HRSA-funded: An Open Resource for Autism iPSCs and their Derivatives; and other FXTAS-related studies. She is a member of the Fragile X Clinical and Research Consortium (FXCRC) and National Fragile X Foundation (NFXF) Scientific & Clinical Advisory Board. Louise is a past member of the NFXF board and in 2004 received the NFXF Jarret Cole Clinical Services Award
