Dr. Rhonda Joy Edwards Vansant
Dr. Rhonda Joy Edwards Vansant is an educator who has devoted her professional life to the advocacy of loving, nurturing developmentally appropriate settings for children, and inspiring meaningful educational practices for learners of all ages. She earned a Bachelor’s and Master’s Degree in Elementary Education from the University of Georgia. She has a Specialist Degree in Language Arts from Peabody College for Teachers and a Doctorate of Education Degree in Curriculum and Supervision from Vanderbilt University. Joy began her teaching career in 1972, and has taught all grades, from kindergarten through sixth grade in rural, inner city, and suburban settings. She has been a homeschooling mother and has provided consultative and instructional homeschooling services for middle school and high school levels. She has provided leadership for educational reform for over four decades. She as a newly published book: Education As It Could Be: Realization, Restoration, and Renewal.
