Eric D. Whitman, MD
Eric D. Whitman, MD is a board certified general surgeon and medical director of Atlantic Health System’s Carol G. Simon Cancer Center located at the campuses of Morristown Medical Center and Overlook Medical Center in Summit, NJ. Since joining Atlantic Health System (AHS) in 2004, Dr. Whitman has served as the founding director for the Atlantic Melanoma Center and medical director for the Atlantic Center for Research. Whitman graduated from Haverford College and then received his medical degree from Pennsylvania State University, where he also completed general surgery residency training with a surgery research fellowship. He is a certified physician investigator and is widely published, as well as an accomplished speaker known internationally for his melanoma clinical and research work.
