Elaine Dumler
Elaine Dumler is passionate in helping military families at home and abroad. She travels to military installations throughout the country to make sure that every American deployed or on temporary assignment in the service has the means available to stay in the closest contact possible with their loved ones left behind. Her work as an active civilian has been featured in Ladies Home Journal, The N.Y. times and over 100 other publications including 6 in foreign languages. She’s been on TV, including MSNBC, FOXNews and Montel to talk about the importance of keeping family ties strong. She is honored to be the recipient of ABC TVs 7 Everyday Hero award for establishing the Free Flat Daddy project which has impacted over 10,000 military families. She has been presented with 26 challenge coins, including the Commander in Chief Coin from President George Bush. Her book, The Road Home – Smoothing the transition back from deployment, was written to cover the unique challenges of returning home.
