Mark Perry
Mark Perry earned a master’s degree in cultural anthropology and a doctorate in the history of culture from the University of Chicago. His bachelor’s degree from Haverford College is in physics and music. Originally from Swarthmore, Pennsylvania, where he grew up in an interracial family, he has lived 2 years in Africa and 12 years in the Middle East. His study of race issues led to a more fundamental question: how can human beings, high technology and nature converge in a sustainable, ever-evolving civilization? Convergence is the subject of his next book.
