Jim Holbrook
Jim Holbrook is a clinical professor of law at the University of Utah where he teaches negotiation, mediation, and arbitration. He enlisted in the U.S. Army and was sent to Vietnam where he fought in combat in 1969 as an artillery NCO in the 9th Infantry Division in the Mekong Delta. He was awarded the Bronze Star and the Army Commendation Medal for Valor. As part of what he calls his “karmic journey,” he taught mediation in India in 2007 and 2010. In 2009, he spent three months in Baghdad managing his law school’s project, which provided legal assistance to the government and judiciary of Iraq.
