Melissa Lea
Melissa Lea is Chief Global Compliance Officer for SAP Group Companies. She joined SAP in 2002 as Compliance Manager for Human Resources in the U.S. In 2005, she took over Legal Compliance for SAP’s Americas Region. In 2007, she relocated to Walldorf, Germany and accepted her current role. Melissa reports to SAP’s General Counsel, with a dual reporting line to the Audit Committee of the SAP AG Supervisory Board. She manages a team of 26 attorneys located in high risk and high business volume geographies throughout SAP’s subsidiaries. Her team specializes in international laws related to bribery and corruption prevention, competition law, revenue recognition and U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) regulations, international trade compliance, international employment law, and white collar crime. Melissa oversees a network of 83 local subsidiary compliance officers in SAP’s subsidiaries globally. In the U.S., she is a member of the Florida and Pennsylvania state bars.
