Thomas P. Shamshak
Former police chief and licensed private investigator, Thomas P. Shamshak, is a police practices expert and provides services to law enforcement, governmental agencies, insurance companies and attorneys. Tom holds a B.S. in Sociology and a Masters in Criminal Justice. He is currently the program director and lead instructor for Boston University’s Professional Investigator Program. Among his professional affiliations, he counts National Center for Missing & Exploited Children, American Society for Industrial Security, International Association of Chiefs of Police, Massachusetts Chiefs of Police Association, Licensed Private Detectives of Rhode Island, and World Association of Detectives. He served as President of the Licensed Private Detectives Association of Massachusetts and is currently the Second Vice President for the National Investigation and Security Services, a trade association for the legislative advocacy of private investigation and security professionals.
