Ben McKenzie, MLS, ATC Employment: Independent Associate with Isagenix International and Instructor of Exercise Science at Labette Community College I hail from Parsons, KS graduating from both Parsons High School and Labette Community College (Associate in Arts - Athletic Training). I attended and graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in Athletic Training from Augustana College in Sioux Falls, SD in 2001. I continued my graduate work at Fort Hays State University earning a Master in Liberal Studies degree with an emphasis in Health and Human Performance in 2004. I have been a practicing certified athletic trainer for 13 years working with athletes from high school, college, and your occasional weekend warrior. I also have 12 years experience working as a part time instructor at Labette Community College teaching courses in Basic Nutrition, Prevention of Athletic Injuries, Personal and Community Health, First Aid, and recreation courses. I have operated several plyometric boot camps and conditioning camps over the years. I have had the opportunity to work with 3 NJCAA national championship wrestling teams and over 80 collegiate All-American athletes during my career. In 2012 I realized I had let my own health and well-being get to a point where I was out of control. My cholesterol and triglycerides were high, my blood pressure was high, and it was time to make a change. I had tried several diets and tried making changes several times over the years, but I would always slip back into my bad habits and gain the weight back. I partnered with a company who has weight loss systems with ingredients that I found worthy of supplement foods. I decided to give it a try and my results have been great. I have released 109 pounds and continue to develop my physique, mind, and well being to this date. In the first year, I lost 103 pounds and have now maintained that weight loss plus a few more pounds for over a year. I have a new found energy, and an excitement that I had lost over the past few years. The transformation has rejuvenated my love for athletics, nutrition, and outdoor activities. I have also built a team of other individuals who have similar desires and goals and I assist them in reaching their goals as well. My wife Holly and I have two beautiful daughters, Tylie (4) and Rowen (2). They have been my main motivation and ispiration during my transformation.
