Dr. Paula Fayerman
Paula Fayerman trained in Family Practice in Traditional Western Medicine. She quickly became interested in different modes of healing practices because of her personal experiences doing yoga. Consequently she studied yoga therapy, acupuncture, somatics, mind-body methods, meditation, and now is interested in energy medicine. Although we see the human being as physical in Western Medicine, the yoga approach to our humanity includes the different “koshas” or sheaths. These layers include the physical, but equally important are the breath, sensations, emotions, thoughts, beliefs, energy and joy. We can work with any and all of these layers to facilitate our health and wellbeing, which grow our feelings of connection and love. There are many different modalities to use and now is such an exciting time to explore healing because we have access to so many wisdom traditions and practices.
