Forrest "Woody" Mosten
Having been in private mediation practice since 1979, Forrest S. Mosten is in constant demand as a master mediation trainer. In addition to training mediators, lawyers, therapists, and organizations worldwide, Mr. Mosten has published numerous articles on mediation and several books, including The Complete Guide to Mediation (1997), Unbundling Legal Services (2000), and Mediation Career Guide (2001), which has been a bestseller on Amazon.
In 1999, Professor Mosten was named Peacemaker of the Year by the Southern California Mediation Association. In 2004, the American Bar Association presented Professor Mosten with two awards: a lifetime achievement award for his contributions in legal access and the ABA Lawyer As Problem Solver Award. In 2014, the New York State Council on Divorce Mediation awarded Woody its Lifetime of Service Award. Mr. Mosten’s other awards, honors, and leadership positions are too numerous to list here. He has served as Law Professor or Adjunct Faculty Member at six law schools.
