Melanie Adams
Melanie Adams is the Managing Director for Community Education and Events for the Missouri History Museum. Melanie has spearheaded programming at the Missouri History Society since the Ferguson shooting, including a town meeting held last August soon after the shooting. She is also President of the Midwest Museums Association.
Melanie’s professional career includes working at the University of California-Berkeley, California State University-Northridge, Washington University, and as a consultant for nonprofit organizations. She earned a bachelor's degree in English/African American studies from the University of Virginia and a Master of Education degree in Higher Education and Student Affairs Administration from the University of Vermont. She is currently pursuing her Ph.D. in Educational Leadership and Policy Studies at the University of Missouri St. Louis.
