J. Richard Rishkow, O.D.
Dr Rishko is in private practice in southern California, He has been working with both professional, top
amateur athletes, and youth sports programs since his start in optometry. He has lectured throughout the
country to doctors, trainers, and coaches on topics including improving athletic performance through
vision training, on the field sports injuries and their treatment, sports eyewear, including contact lenses
and eye protection. He is a past president of the International Academy of Sports Vision, has
contributed to the sports vision manual of the American Optometric Association and is presently on
medical staff for Cal State University Nothridge Athletic Department working with the athletics to
enhance their performance.
