Sweet Pete’s, a confectionery company, began as the dream of ultimate candy lover Pete Behringer – also known as “Sweet Pete.” Pete’s love for sweets was fostered by his mother, who opened a chocolate shop when he was just twelve years old. After spending over two decades confecting candy and chocolates, Pete was ready to make his own candy vision a reality, and Sweet Pete’s opened its doors in 2010. Offering hundreds of premium candies and chocolates, Sweet Pete’s mission is to provide a variety of confectioneries that can be enjoyed by all candy lovers alike. Sweet Pete’s also offers vegan, sugar-free, gluten-free, and nut-free options catering to an assortment of dietary restrictions. This wide variety of sweets is why many call Sweet Pete’s, the sweetest destination on earth! In addition to a plethora of sweets, Sweet Pete’s offers hands-on “Sweet Science” classes to teach children and adults of all ages the secrets to creating their own delicious treats such as truffles, taffy, lollipops, hard candies, and more. Sweet Pete’s also hosts on-site birthday parties, field trips, and team building events by reservation. In December of 2014, Sweet Pete’s moved into a new location, the former Seminole Club in downtown Jacksonville. This new 22,000 square foot facility offers the ultimate candy experience. In addition to offering confectioneries and gifts, this new location hosts an event center, education center, party rooms, and daily factory tours, as well as a full service restaurant cooking up delicious burgers, salads, and more.
