Fred and Jeri Abrams

Fred and Jeri Abrams are two ordinary folks who met 11 years ago (Sept 22, 2004) in Hospice Grief Support after the deaths of their spouses. Exactly one year later, they married. Fred is a retired Air Force fighter pilot and program manager. His first marriage, to Nancy, a pediatric nurse, lasted 33 years. Jeri was also a pediatric nurse. Her first marriage, to Steve, an Air Force Chaplain, lasted 27 years. Fred and Jeri have written a book describing their path through their grief and the rebuilding of their lives. Since marrying they have both been involved in the Rotary project Fred led to establish a self-sufficient sanctuary for AIDS orphans rescued from one of Africa's most dangerous slums. Together Fred and Jeri have four married children and six grandchildren.
