Cheryl Cardinal
Cheryl Cardinal is a dynamic First Nations leader who works to ensure Indigenous voices are at all tables. Cheryl is currently President/CEO of the Indigenous Center of Energy. Through her work at the Indigenous Center of Energy, Cheryl supports and fosters mutually beneficial relationships for Indigenous communities and the energy sector. Cheryl is a trusted and neutral source who has facilitated multi-stakeholder sessions with government, First Nations, local community members and the energy industry. She is an experienced facilitator with a strong strategic and political acumen. Cheryl has worked with many communities locally increasing energy literacy and understanding issues surrounding development while focusing on how development impacts the treaty and aboriginal rights of First Nations people. Cheryl has spent close to 20 years working with various First Nations communities nationally in the area of energy and resources, education, and research.
