Dr. Jillian Weiss
Dr. Jillian T Weiss has a JD and a PhD in Law, Policy and Society. Currently Professor of Law and Society at Ramapo College of New Jersey, her research area is gender identity and law. Dr. Weiss provides legal representation to transgender employees in cases involving gender identity and gender expression discrimination. She has handled dozens of cases of employment discrimination, having the largest caseload of transgender employment discrimination cases in the country. Her volunteer work includes service as a member of the Board of Directors of Lambda Legal, the oldest and largest US national legal organization whose mission is to safeguard and advance the civil rights of lesbians, gay men, bisexuals, transgender people and those with HIV through impact litigation, education and policy work. She is Chair of the annual Transgender Law Symposium and the author of Transgender Workplace Diversity: Policy Tools, Training Issues and Communication Strategies for HR and Legal Professionals.
