Dave Berger
Dave Berger is a three-time cancer survivor consisting of two episodes with non-Hodgkin’s Lymphoma in 2009 and 2012 and prostate cancer in 2010. He had a so far successful bone marrow/stem cell transplant in November 2012 and has been in remission since then. Mr. Berger is a self-employed engineering and safety consultant and expert witness for various state and federal governmental agencies for petroleum and natural gas pipelines and distribution systems. Dave Berger is also an associate instructor at the US DOT Technical and Qualifications School located in Oklahoma City that provides training to newly appointed state and federal pipeline safety inspectors. Prior to starting his consulting business, Mr. Berger worked for one of the forerunners of National Grid. Besides his full time consulting work, Mr. Berger also volunteers at the Stony Brook University Hospital in the Bone Marrow Unit. He lives on Long Island with his wife and has two grown children and three grandchildren.
