Jane Lowrey-Christian
Jane Lowrey-Christian was born in northern Missouri in 1931. Though she grew up during the Depression and she enjoyed a happy childhood, due in large part to her parents’ resourcefulness. As an adult, Lowrey-Christian stayed close to her roots, and was a farmer, county clerk, and county commissioner. She has eight children, 21 grandchildren, and 15 great-grandchildren. It wasn't until she was a grandmother that she decided to write books. Her books include Budgie and Sissy's Adventure as well as the series, The Quackless Duck. Kids reared on MySpace, cell phones and iPods—and their parents—will be entertained by Jane’s stories and curious to know about the kind of mischief that ensues when imaginations are the fuel for fun. In her interviews she shares how she walked a mile to school, uphill, in the snow and was thrilled by a cup of hot cocoa. More can be read about her at http://www.starstyleradio.com.
