Marie Bigham
Marie Bigham is committed to equity, access and social justice through college education. Marie has worked in college admissions since 1997 when she joined the admission office at Washington University in St. Louis. As Director of Multicultural Recruitment, Marie developed successful recruitment and retention strategies focused on Students of Color, particularly Native American students. She has worked as a college counselor at some of the nation’s most respected independent schools: Riverdale Country School in NY, The Bishop’s School in CA, Greenhill School in Dallas, and currently at Isidore Newman School in New Orleans as Director of College Counseling.
Marie currently serves on the Board of Directors for the National Association of College Admission Counseling. She previously served as Vice Chair of the Board and as Director of Communication for the Association of College Counselors in Independent Schools. Marie has been featured in the New York Times, WNYC, Al Jazeera and CNN.
