Jay Maurice
Jay Maurice is an award-winning pianist, music educator, and entrepreneur. He has been performing professionally for the past 21 years. In 1998 he released his first CD with his band, j.j.'s swimming, Sound on Sound. The CD was well received and it launched Jay's reputation as a solid performer in the Atlanta music scene. In addition to solo performances, Jay’s playing can be heard with the Latonya Peoples Project, Motor City Josh, and the Atrium Jazz Trio. His compositions have been heard on the Concert Stage as well on radio and television. In 1997 Jay founded Lessons In Your Home, "The Music Teachers Who Come to Your Home or School". Now in 8 cities throughout the USA, Lessons In Your Home keeps Jay very busy. He no longer teaches students but shares with teachers the techniques and ideas that helped him inspire students. He attended Seminole College in Sanford, Florida, on piano scholarship, and Loyola University in New Orleans, Louisiana.
