Ernestine Miller
Ernestine Miller is a women's sports historian whose passion is bringing forward to a wide audience, the rich and mostly unknown history of the subject. She believes there are unsung trailblazers in every sport, who pushed opportunity forward at a time when sport for women had limited acceptance. Today, 46 years since Title IX, while conditions have improved, Miller feels women sport is still in its infancy, but the future is more promising than ever.
She is the author of Making Her Mark: First and Milestones in Women's Sports and The Sportswomen’s Daybook
She is a member of SABR - Society of American Baseball Research, and organizes the annual meeting of the New York City chapter.
She is a founding member and on the national board of directors of WISE (Women in
Sports and Events) the leading voice and resource for professional women in the business of sports. WISEworks.com is the website
