Mary Bemis
Mary Bemis is the founder and editorial director of InsidersGuidetoSpas.com, co-founder of Organic Spa magazine, and a founding editor of American Spa magazine. Mary was recently honored with the Folio Top Women in Media Award. A true spa advocate, Mary is on a mission is to educate the consumer about healthy lifestyle choices and to make modern spas less about industry and more about healing. She is a founding Board member of the Washington Spa Alliance (WSPA) and is a past Director of the International Spa Association (ISPA). In 2013, she received the prestigious Dedicated Contributor Award from the International Spa Association (ISPA). A green spa and beauty pioneer, Mary recently co-curated Cosmoprof North America’s new green beauty pavilion, Discover Green, and she is a juror for The Wellness Travel Awards from SpaFinder Wellness 365. A contributor to many consumer magazines, including Allure, Care2.com, Glamour South Africa, Glo.com, The Huffington Post, Luxury and others.
