Daniel Fred
Daniel has strategic responsibility for the TYR collegiate program and for the expansion and execution of its mission.
Prior to joining TYR, Daniel served as the Project Coordinator for Nevada’s Recovery and Prevention Community (NRAP) at the University of Nevada, Reno since 2012. Along with coordinating NRAP for the Center for the Application of Substance Abuse Technologies, he taught the introductory class for CASAT’s 18-credit minor in Addiction Treatment Services for over 6 years. He helped in the replicating process of the NRAP program at Truckee Meadows Community College in Reno, Nevada. He is a certified Peer Recovery Coach Trainer and has incorporated recovery coaching into NRAP.
Daniel graduated from Texas Tech University in 2005, where he was a member of the Center for the Study of Addiction and Recovery. He then moved to Reno and co-founded the Nevada House of Prayer, where he was the Collegiate Director until 2011. Daniel has his Masters of Science in Human Development.
