CINDY KOUMOUTZIS
Cindy is a Co-Founder of Change Addiction Now (CAN), Director of State Development and State Director for Ohio CAN. Cindy brings to CAN an understanding of the scientific methods and what constitutes evidence-based information and treatments. In addition, the insight of walking side by side for ten years with active addiction, dual diagnosis, relapse and recovery. Cindy has spoken to schools, advocacy groups, churches and at community events. She has also lobbied and helped pass Ohio’s Good Samaritan 911 Bill, the Medicaid Expansion Bill, sits on Stark County’s Needle exchange board and Opiate Task force and is actively involved with Unite to Face Addiction and FedUp, both national advocacy groups. A native of Ohio, Cindy has lived in North Canton for 24 years with her husband of 31 years. They have 4 adult children and 4 adorable grandchildren.
