David Spangler
David Spangler is a renowned voice across the global contemplative and metaphysical community. A spiritual teacher (and "practical mystic" as he has called himself) since 1965, he was a founder, and then co-director (1970-1973) of the celebrated Findhorn Foundation community in northern Scotland. He is also credited as a co-founder of the Lindesfarne Association, whose Lindesfarne Fellows included some of the most seminal cultural thinkers of our time. A co-founder of the Lorian Association, he currently works as director of its Center for Incarnational Spirituality. He is the author of numerous books, among them the celebrated book Revelation, The Birth of a New Age and, most recently, Apprenticed to Spirit. He emphasizes a practical or incarnational spirituality in which our everyday lives can be experienced as spiritual or sacred, as opposed to a spirituality concerned solely with the transpersonal and transcendent. He is a happily married father of four. www.lorian.org
