Dr. Tom Wooldridge
Tom Wooldridge, PsyD. is an Assistant Professor and Chair in the Department of Psychology at Golden Gate University. He has published numerous journal articles and book chapters on topics such as eating disorders, masculinity, technology, and psychoanalytic treatment. His first book, Understanding Anorexia Nervosa in Males, was published by Routledge in 2016 and has been called "groundbreaking" and "a potential classic." He is currently editing his second book, Psychoanalytic Treatment of Eating Disorders: When Words Fail and Bodies Speak, to be published through the Relational Perspectives book series with Routledge. In addition, Dr. Wooldridge is an Executive Director at the National Association for Males with Eating Disorders and has a private practice in Berkeley, CA, where he provides psychoanalytic psychotherapy and family therapy. He is a candidate at the Psychoanalytic Institute of Northern California.
