Alejandro Nadal
Alejandro Nadal has a PhD in economics from the University of Paris X, and research Professor at the Center for Economic Studies of El Colegio de México. His research deals with general equilibrium theory, technological trajectories and the management of natural resources, in the areas of comparative economic theory and economics of technical change. He is a member of the Editorial Board of Sin Permissi and regularly publishes an opinion column in the Mexican newspaper La Jornada. In 2011 he published the groundbreaking book ‘Rethinking Macroeconomics for Sustainability’, connecting the impact of macroeconomics and the environment together, and provides guideposts for reform and reconciliation. As nations across the world debate macroeconomic policies to prevent and mitigate future financial crises, environmental degradation, for wildlife trade policy makers and advocates as we grapple with combined crises in finance, climate change, natural capacity and sustainability of the future
