Phil Nail, Entrepreneur/Founder AISO.net
Phil is the founder of AISO.net a 100% solar powered data center located in Riverside County, California. Phil identifies as being an entrepreneur and environmentally conscience throughout his adult life, so he decided to create the world’s first data center that is environmentally friendly.
With no experience in the industry, he was determined to do something other host providers haven't done - power websites using solar power. In 2001 Phil built the AISO datacenter and went off the grid for good.
In addition, AISO uses large water tanks to catch precipitation and rain water. This water is then used to cool the data center by piping it underground to our air conditioning units. AISO uses solar tubes to bring light in during the day time and LED lighting at night with the goal of limiting the company’s footprint and need for more power.
