James O'Dea
James O’Dea is the author of The Conscious Activist: Where Activism Meets Mysticism which won the COVR Conscious Living Book Award. He is the former President of the Institute of Noetic Sciences and served as Director of the Washington, D.C. Office of Amnesty International and CEO of the Seva Foundation. O’Dea is also a member of the Evolutionary Leaders Group and an Honorary Fellow of the Laszlo New Paradigm Institute in Italy. James also serves on the Advisory Board of The Peace Alliance and KOSMOS Journal. He is a well-known figure in international social healing and a regular contributor to various blogsites and news outlets. He co-authored and co-led the Social Healing Project and Report with Dr. Judith Thompson. It explores key facets of healing amidst violence and conflict in places such as Rwanda, N. Ireland, Israel/Palestine and to the U.S. to address racial and indigenous healing, and to co-host processes towards understanding and transformation.
