John Fink


John Fink is a Research Associate at the Community College Research Center (CCRC) at Columbia University, where he researches community college student transfer patterns and outcomes on national and state levels. In 2016 he authored three national studies on community college transfer students, including a state-by-state report on college transfer outcomes, a "Transfer Playbook" for how colleges can improve transfer success, and a Google-funded study on students who start at a community college and earn bachelor's degrees in computer science. Prior to joining CCRC, he advised transfer students and created a comprehensive support program for community college transfer students at the University of Maryland, College Park where he also earned a M.A. in College Student Personnel.
