Dean Krimmel


Dean Krimmel works with senior staff, education and curatorial teams, and community stakeholders to create interpretative plans, exhibitions, and strategic plans using proven audience-driven, outcome-based methods honed over 35 years in the public history and museum fields.
Dean’s practice is informed by decades of experience documenting and interpreting social history, race and race relations, neighborhoods, and cultural traditions for diverse audiences. His current projects include “Enslaved at Homewood,” (tour design and guide training in interpreting slavery for Homewood Museum); Children’s History Center (planner/curator for family-friendly exhibition at Burlington County (NJ) Historical Society); and, “Petroleum Pioneers” (curator for exhibition at Baltimore Museum of Industry).
Dean formed Creative Museum Services in 2002, and has been affiliated with Qm2 Community of Museum Consultants since 2006.
