Elaine Cooper L.C.S.W.
Elaine Cooper, L.C.S.W is Clinical Professor of Psychiatry, University of California School of Medicine at San Francisco. She has received the annual Excellence in Teaching Award nine times. She has also taught at Smith College, New York University, New York Medical College, Hunter College, Adelphi University, Psychoanalytic Institute of Northern California and University of California at Berkeley. She has 45 years of clinical practice and 30 years teaching individual, couples and group therapy.
Elaine is the author of two books, numerous articles and book chapters on group therapy. Her latest book is LET'S ALL HOLD HANDS AND DROP DEAD: Three Generations - One Story. She has presented nationally and internationally, including Parliament of Religions interfaith Conference in 2015.
Elaine resides in Berkeley, California where she has a private practice in individual, couple and group psychodynamic psychotherapy. She provides consultation for agencies, including a staff in China.
