Lt Col David F. Tharp


Lt Col Tharp is licensed psychologist assigned to the USAFA where he works at the Peak Performance Center. Lt Col Tharp has specialized training in addressing psychological issues related to Basic Cadet Training (BCT). He utilizes DoD) Defense Veterans Brain Injury Center (DVBIC) training and integrated and disseminated information to roughly 1400 cadets each year. He performs a series of other duties related to training and supervision.
Before this, Lt Col Tharp was assigned to a triple hatted position as Medical Advisor, Preventative Medicine and Environmental Engineer to BG Kendall, COMKAF (Commander, Kandahar Airfield), Kandahar Afghanistan.
Lt Col Tharp is a senior-level psychologist and manager at the Waco Texas Department of Veterans Administration He is also the Chief Executive Officer of CombatPTSD.org, a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization which provides military grade training and free resources to veterans experiencing the invisible wounds of war.
