Georgia Hunter
Georgia was in high school when, thanks to a research assignment, she discovered that she was a quarter Jewish, and that she came from a family of Holocaust survivors. Fifteen years later, Georgia set off with digital voice recorder and an empty moleskin notebook to unearth and record her family’s remarkable story. She spent nearly a decade traversing the globe interviewing relatives and digging up records from every possible source she could think of, eventually piecing together the bones of what would become her novel, We Were the Lucky Ones.
